Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 2:28PM I'm eating at New Thai Blues down the block from The Artistery, where Grouper will be performing tonight.
(New Thai Blues makes their spring rolls huge, in case you were wondering)
I have a feeling I might be spending a lot of time outside this venue before it starts.
If it rains, it's only fitting.
Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 10:33AM It turns out, many of my friends still haven't really listened to Grouper. Liz Harris(Grouper) will be my siren for the next month or two. It's during these autumnal days that we take the time to reflect the memories made from our summer bloom. There is nothing better than feeling those memories dry up and crackle like crispy leaves, with "Heavy Water" playing in the background. It's these times that we move on, and turn the page in our book. Grouper provides a cerebral narrative to your story on a very intimate level. Those vocals find their way into those suppressed feelings and memories without even prying. Grouper destroys facade. This kind of devastation is surely welcomed. (Oh, and she's from Portland, OR)
She also just came out with an art book/DVDR that features original drawings called Divide.
