Chaz Bundick is gloriously impressionable.

Jessica Allen told him he wrote the sexiest music around and gave him a pomelo.

This is the same pomelo that was used to make the cover for his new album, Underneath The Pine.

Turns out Toro Y Moi is for real. 3 hour recording session and this is what he puts out. This man delivers. I have even more respect for his laptop shows now.

Chazwick Bundick was at Mississippi Studios, Portland.

I went to see Toro Y Moi on Saturday with the beautiful Nikki Seibel. It was a good night minus the flat tire, long lines for bathrooms, and failed attempt to conjure sobriety from Luke Matthews.

Mississippi Studios provides a balcony to hover over the crowd and stage. We were able to see all Chaz' toys, including his masterful use of the EHX Memory Man. I was kinda disappointed to see most samples coming straight from his mactop but he refrained from checking his email during the set. We saw a couple having sex with clothes on to the hypnotic mess of sound. That was pretty funny. Next time, I'm bringing bubbles to blow from the balcony.

 I heard that Chaz and Ernest Greene from Washed Out are BFFs. We all can see why. The difference between the two- Chaz can sing well.
